lyrics

Life is so short that, sometimes you don’t get to say goodbye
Why can't we just tell each other how much we appreciate one another while we're still alive?

So what if you’re a straight guy, with another guy
You can still tell him that you love him
What is that fear is it just an antiquated homophobia?
Yup

Are you afraid of intimacy and commitment?
Just like me?
You’ve got nothing to fear, it’s all in your head my dear,
A figment of your imagination

We’ve lost too many legends
This year alone
Which means I won’t get to meet
Some of my heroes
That is ok with me, I don’t mind
So long as I get to learn something from their time on this earth
So it’s worth something, to someone

I've lost too many friends, some wound up dead, I never got to say goodbye
This one’s for them, because life is too short to hold grudges, it makes you realize
Just how petty, all of our grievances are, how much better life is for us
We’ve come so far, from our cavemen ancestors, now we drive in cars
But we stress ourselves with our social regard,
So silly

Life is so short that, sometimes you don’t get to say goodbye
Why can't we just tell each other how much we appreciate one another while we're still alive?
